People who continue to make poor decisions
The first season is mind boggling. Tried to feel for the protagonists as she tells us her child has a biological dad, then a dad that was her step dad and vanished, then the man who lied and manipulated her but she let back in, and an alcoholic man she’s dated…. Poor child, “old soul” her mother calls her: as if she ever had a choice.

Couldn’t make it through the first episode. They begin with a disclaimer that it may be all over the place but yeah…that was understating things.
