Kelly’s story and the accounting of Sara’s experience was a compelling tale of resilience.Amber & Athena you have successfully created a platform of healing. Hope you do get a movie deal. Liked the first season but couldn’t get through the hosts uncontrollable laughter (or as one of the hosts put it, she “got the giggles”) in the first episode of season 5. They were so clueless they didn’t realize the victim was not laughing with them, but trying to bear her soul while the hosts...Read full review »

My heroes. 💪🏻✨🐅 I didn’t enjoy listening to Juliette’s story. She comes across as a “mean girl”. Unlikable, rude, arrogant and never at fault. She could benefit from some self reflection and self awareness. Thank goodness she was only two episodes. 🙄 Big “Ick” energy.

Athena & Amber, you need to have this produced as a mini-series! Just when you think it couldn’t get worse and “Ben” could not come up with a bigger lie, he tops himself, once again!! I once dated someone who turned out to be a huge cheater, full of lies and gaslighting. It was so hard...Read full review »

The first season is mind boggling. Tried to feel for the protagonists as she tells us her child has a biological dad, then a dad that was her step dad and vanished, then the man who lied and manipulated her but she let back in, and an alcoholic man she’s dated…. Poor child, “old soul” her mother...Read full review »

"Ex-Wives Undercover" deserves a resounding 5 stars! Amber and Athena navigate the challenging tale of a psychopathic narcissist ex with kindness and humor, making the podcast both gripping and enjoyable. Their camaraderie, not only with each other but also with other exes of Ben, is...Read full review »

I know how hard it is to leave a relationship with a narcissist. Been there, done that, and it took me many times to actually leave. I feel for the guests and what a rollercoaster it can be, especially with a manipulative person. And the stories are wild, heartbreaking and sadly too common. But I...Read full review »

The stories are genuine and serve to help individuals who have been subjected to gaslighting, manipulation, and narcissistic personalities feel connected which empowers them. Those of us who have gone through such situations often feel shame. The stories presented have helped me shed that shame....Read full review »

I cannot imagine not meeting Amber and Athena almost one year ago!!! It seems as if it’s been 10 years we have been through so much. Not only have they treated me with love and kindness but a true sisterhood bond that cannot be broken. Please listen and share their stories. Love you girls.

I love this podcast! I really think they have helped so many women who are in abusive relationships see the light as well as expose the abusers. Keep doing what you’re doing!

I’ve been through so much and to hear these stories makes me so understood! I’m currently pregnant and doing it alone but my peace is so much more worth it vs the roller coaster and abuse! Thank you! Thank you thank you

This was an amazing listen. I binge listened the the first 2 seasons. Having escaped a coercively controlled marriage in my early 20’s I related to and recognised a lot of the behaviours. Love this podcast, Athena and Amber are strong resilient women who continue to fight for themselves, the children and other women who have been wronged by other narcissistic men. Thank you for telling your story and giving others a platform to share as well. Y’all are doing a great job!

The ex-wives are true WARRIORS! They share the truth that so many of us have gone through at various levels. They lift up victims and make us feel like the survivors we are. Great podcast that features a variety of women and their experiences. Although the cons all follow the same playbook, their tactics vary. Educational on the different things to watch out for and how common these situations are.

Repetitious, stories told out of sequence, narrators who have such poor judgment that it makes you despair about your fellow women. Couldn’t finish one season.
Fooemery via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/01/23
Listened to it for 20 minutes and was still waiting for a story to be told. Jumbled, confusing, and ultimately uninteresting.

I’m weirded out by the child apart of the intro for the podcast. It’s then followed by a trigger warning that the show is for mature audience only. Huh?
juliannegarciaaa via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/14/23
Interesting content however the discriminative language they used around mental health conditions is disappointing. They speak about the daughter having difficulties, which all sound spot on for autism so I would have thought they would have an awareness that every condition has a spectrum.

Dislike dislike dislike. Can’t stand the hosts, and I truly tried to give them a shot. Do not recommend, I felt my brain cells melting one by one, as I attempted to keep listening.

This show really needs a psychological component that explains why these trashy women keep going back to a pathological liar and con artist after being fooled 15 times. That would actually be interesting. It’s a great hate-listen if you want to feel better about yourself though!
jseagull via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/09/23
Their story is compelling with so much potential. I have almost completed season 2. The things these poor women went through are so cringe-worthy; but love how they prevail and come out on top. All of the stories are so well told & informative to women in the world who may need some guidance navigating similar situations! Been binging it all week- Great listen! :)
