Converted
I wasn’t sure if a beauty podcast was a good fit for me, but this episode exceeded my expectations beyond belief. It seamlessly interwove relevant current events and its intersection with the beauty industry. For someone who exists in a professional corporate system that hasn’t traditionally been diversified in terms of racial and socioeconomic inclusivity, this podcast spoke volumes to me - it transcended beauty, it rested its head more on American culture at large. Issues raised from the appropriation of black culture in content and marketing in the industry despite little to no representation in staff or leadership to the unintentional microagressions like team building in the form of culturally exclusive activities were spot on. You guys have made a convert out of me. Looking forward to more quality content from this podcast (Sharon Chuter is my spirit animal of the day). Looking forward to it contributing to me being righteously woke with the added benefit of helping me get my glow up on. Well played Annie and Nick. Well played, indeed.

They don't know the first thing...Read full review »

I love this podcast. I’m hooked. It’s engaging, informative, professional, and inclusive. I’m learning so much about the beauty industry through Nick and Annie. Best thing about 2020 was discovering this podcast today.
