Interesting Date of Inception
Just another ancillary brand podcast launched coincidentally during height of BLM in social fabric, by 2 white people, who came out the gate with BLM topics through hyperpigmentation & has already forgotten how it’s began. It’ll be interesting to see the direction it’s going to take and whether or how much integrity it will have in its narrative of inclusion. The holistic food portions are all trendy, kitschy not really workable lifestyles, more “check out the latest gimmick.” Like a Spencer’s of podcasts but with way less toys/distractions. I already don’t appreciate that 2 people saw an opportunity in market for a narrative during BLM to so obviously jump on trending topics. A compiled waste of time. If Necessaire had “Into the Gloss” this would be it. It’s literally 2 people trying to sell me their own brands, respectively, bs-ing. Vain, vapid, shallow, insubstantive, inauthentic, flimsy, bored, impertinent.

Nick is a genius. He has a sixth sense about pop culture and a unique ability to extract what’s at once most entertaining and interesting from it. And I don’t even care about “Beauty”!
