“I’ve had a lot of respect for David Duchovny over the years as he’s continued to take creative risks and tell his own story through it all. From the X-File episodes he wrote, to House of D and Holy Cow, if someone were to look at it all from afar, the man has loads to be proud of. But people have sometimes given him a bad rap and its a tough business. What I really like is that, as he gets older, DD reveals more of his own attachment to creativity, and the Beckett idea of “fail, fail better” makes so much sense as a frame to be having deep and honest - public - conversations that tend to explore the emotional and psychological depths of creativity. Yeah, there’s way too many commercials, but that’s the pod biz these days. Thanks DD for sharing…. lots of insight and valuable questions.”
