As an amateur podcaster, I love David’s content and journey at failing his way through podcasting. He is quite successful!

One of my friend’s parents calls me his long lost friend. He’s calm, alive, funny, skeptical, and most importantly, completely human. Occasionally, “intelligence” or being “learned” can be embarrassing or difficult, but this podcast opens the parts of the mind that we are rarely able to flourish...Read full review »

I am a podcast lover. I listen to many genres, and get different needs met by them. This is the first podcast that makes me feel like I’m sitting in my cozy living room having a deep chat with good friends. David’s interview style is so sincere, vulnerable, and intelligent. He provides space for...Read full review »

I really enjoying this podcast channel and also a big fan of David Duchovny, I highly recommend too give a try

David Duchovny is so versatile - clearly very intelligent which shows in his wit, honesty and sense of humour. Its self helpish in discussing and reflecting on failure… but without even a hint of making you cringe or clench from cheesy self help jargon - you know what I mean. Basically like...Read full review »

Thanks, but no thanks. Unfortunate choice of guest. Unsubscribing.

I’ve had a lot of respect for David Duchovny over the years as he’s continued to take creative risks and tell his own story through it all. From the X-File episodes he wrote, to House of D and Holy Cow, if someone were to look at it all from afar, the man has loads to be proud of. But people have...Read full review »

There is such an inundation of podcasts today that I am so reluctant to seek out or try anything beyond my tried and true. But I have to say, Mr Duchovny’s podcast is really compelling. I can’t tell if it’s his intelligence, self deprecating humor, vast repertoire of stories, but I am absolutely...Read full review »

I love David Duchovnys podcast. It’s the only one I listen to. Unless he’s a guest a someone else’s podcast then I listen to that one too ❤️

David allows guests to speak, which is lovely. However, his ability to gently guide the guests - thereby fulfilling the storytelling purpose of the show - is not fully developed. For example, the Griffin Dunne interview felt like a generic book tour interiview. At some point, I forgot what...Read full review »

I enjoy the different perspectives each individual brings to the table regarding personal failure. Humans are, “The Perfection of Failure.” Keep these stories coming DD!

I love DD’s honesty and vulnerability. He really connects with his interviewees and they get real and go deep. Former Fox Mulder fan girl here loves this new iteration of Duchovny.

I saw Gillian Anderson post about this podcast on instagram. I figured I’d give it a listen and if nothing else, the soothing voice of David Duchovny would lull me to sleep. Wow! I completely underestimated him! David is a fantastic interviewer who asks deep, thoughtful questions. You can tell he...Read full review »

I enjoyed a couple of the interviews that had some interesting topics. But when you get to the Jenkins interview, it’s just painful to hear. I never watched X-files because I was too busy with my own career /children balancing act, and trying not to feel guilty all the time. Love, love this podcast. Duchovny is such a smart, insightful interviewer and so willing to be vulnerable. Nothing better than an interviewer who yearns to know and get to an insight he can use in his own life. Love the self-deprecating post interview evaluation as well. Please keep going.

It’s ok, but such a knock-off of the long-running How to Fail podcast. I’m disappointed with Lemonada but not surprised. Of course a man is going to show up and use his money and fame to just do the same thing a woman has been doing for years. 🙄

I hate most podcast hosts because they work too hard at Hosting with a capital H. It’s obvious David is largely invested in showing up to conversations with people he admires. Always wondered if Fox Mulder’s dry, self-effacing wit was FM or DD. As a long time fan, David’s voice is as familiar as that of an old friend.
