“I've been playing Fallout since Fallout 3 came out, but started following the podcast thanks to the new TV show, and I'm so glad I did. Highly recommend it to any Fallout fan! The Lorecast is amazing, offering interesting insights and great discussions on Fallout lore. The audio quality is top-notch. Tom (AKA Robots), the host, has excellent pronunciation, making it super easy to understand, even for non-native speakers like myself. One idea for a future episode: As somewhat of a scientist myself (currently working on my PhD in genetics), I find it strange and kinda cool listening to the podcast while working in the lab. It was a funny experience to hear Tom discuss the science of the Fallout universe, the FEV, supermutants, and whatnot while I'm literally transfecting human cells with mutations. So while the science in the Fallout world has already been discussed a lot, I think it would be interesting to explore how scientists are portrayed in the Fallout games. It's intriguing how scientists in sci-fi often get cast as the villains, even though many sci-fi fans are science enthusiasts. Fallout's moral gray areas and ethical questions provide a great backdrop to explore this. Who's the most evil scientist in Fallout? Are there any genuine "good guy" scientists? And what real-world philosophical and ethical dilemmas about science are reflected in the games? Anyways, fantastic podcast, highly recommend. Cheers, Yam”Read full review »
