“First of all, being a lover of the greatest game on the planet, I devour anything that has to do with stat analysis. Fangraphs is one of the premiere sites on the interwebs to find such analysis, and when I found out about a year ago that there was a podcastt from the site that had interviews with players, beat writers and other people involved with analysis of the game I had to instantly download it.
It's just awesome. Carson Cistulli hosts the show, sometimes multiple episodes a week. He has a unique way he goes about his interviews that makes me laugh out loud when listening to each show. It's not just a stiff show with no energy and boring guests. Which is one of the highlights IMO, his guests are great. Managing Editor of Fangraphs, Dave Cameron appears weekly with great insight into baseball. Carson interviews minor league ballplayers, beat writers from an assortment of teams. Dayn Perry, another writer appears once in awhile for some incredibly funny interviews in which I look forward to and wish happened more often. I don't know what else to say, the show is extremely entertaining IMO and trumps many of the other podcasts I listen to.
Some have complained about his voice being terrible or that he doesn't stay on point, well to those I say lighten up! The reason why baseball has been losing fans overall is because there are still too many dragging the sport down into what it was 50 years ago.
