Review supplement
In a previous installment of my review of this show, I stated that this show is better when sticking to baseball. Well, not really. What I meant was... Cistulli should shut his pie hole. Or, should I say, his lemon curd tart hole. I'm a red blooded American male. I like rock and or roll, jazz, apple pie and baseball and wanton, unprotected sex. I like the hard ball because I want to see an orb hurled at 90+ MILES/hour and blasted 400+ FEET. If the mamby, pamby host had his way the distance between bases would probably be in meters. Pitch speed measured in kilometers per hour. I hate book reviews and especially hate lofty jerks talking about being at play or whatever his stupid game treatise is. If I wanted liberal philosophy shoved down my throat, I'd spend time with my wife listening to NPR being bored. The droll host obviously likes baseball because he likes ratios, long division and math. His obsession with Clubhouse Confidential borders on restraining order worthy. But, like Brian Kenny, Cistulli is a Toby Flenderson, meaning he is the worst. The show is only listenable on Tuesday's. This is the day that the Great Dayn Perry shouts obscenities, calls out the host's Anti-American bias and invokes the names of our founders and framers. These are things I can tolerate. If another science fiction writer is on, I will have no choice but to go back to injecting heroin if I'd want to listen. In retrospect, if you wear a tweed jacket with elbow patches, prefer wine priced above $10/bottle instead of rail booze or are a member of a club with the word Society in it's title, you'll like Carson. The show would be 5 stars if Perry hosted. If not Perry, then the Sklar brothers on acid would be acceptable.Read full review »

Saber isn't a religion anymore, and the voice of modern baseball is fangraphs. Insightful without being too data heavy. It's just incredible.Read full review »

The only podcast I've taken my time to rate and review. Great baseball talk and truly funny hosts. They rarely talk about the team I care about, the A's, but aren't obnoxiously obsessed about east coast story lines.Read full review »

Looking for a good baseball podcast, settle in with these guys and got a bunch of blarney about the Moravians of Winston-Salem, slavery poets and other non-baseball stuff, before bailing. Why do you guys waste people’s time like this?
