“Usually creators are ho-hum and detached from old work they finished over a decade ago. They're tired of talking about it or are quick to remind you of how they've moved on to other things. This interview is the exact opposite, a touching conversation with two guys that have a real passion for the high art level of sophistication that the Batman Animated Series team brought to what could easily have been another average cartoon produced to pander and talk down to children.
I read the "Batman: Animated" behind the making of book until the binding wore out many years ago, but this interview brought another level of emotion and appreciation to how important the work was to Dini.
Hearing Kevin interview him about not just his Batman work, but his entire career in animation, was fantastic.
