Falls Short
I listened to the first two episodes, but I don’t think I’ll finish the series. The podcast fell short for me in three areas: one, the dialogue between the hosts came across as canned and slightly juvenile; two, the storytelling felt like it belonged in the young adult genre not true crime; last, the hosts’ efforts to retell their journalism experiences seemed more appropriate for a high school or college class not a major digital news outlet. I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone with a deep interest in true crime, but I might recommend it to my 15 year old niece who likes podcasts.
