I found your podcast through JL Collin’s book, The simple path to wealth. I have been listening to your podcast for a little more than six months and slowly working through each episode and reading/listening to the books as I listen to the episode or after. I have been treating It is like a...Read full review »

As a long time listener (only now reviewing) The Mad-FIentist has been around for quite some time now. He’s interviewed some of the brightest minds in the Financial Independence space. Totally worth a listen! This podcast should definitely be a tool in your learning arsenal -BG

The latest episode (2023-08-23) has an audio echo, I haven’t heard this in other MadFientist episodes.

This podcast used to be great but now it’s neglected. New episodes are rare and either old material reposted or sourced from other podcasts. Listen to the old episodes, but don’t hold your breath for good new material. ————————————- Original review: This Podcast feels really genuine. The tone...Read full review »

Highly recommended. I started listening a month or two ago. I’m halfway through the episodes and can’t wait until I have to drive somewhere or walk the dog so I can listen to more! Very inspiring and completely doable!

I’ve learned a few good things from this podcast. But I’ve started to cringe when I see a new episode drop. There is too much “I” and “me” that makes it feel self centered. Maybe it’s time for me to move on anyway.

I always tell people new to FI to listen to this podcast. So many different ways to financial independence shown on this podcast. Also the host is so kind and intelligent. I can tell he’s doing this because he cares and not for self-promotion.

Thanks Brendan for this excellent podcast. I hope it’s not too late to write a review as I only started listening all your podcasts recently. One of the few podcasts which discuss personal finance and frugality with umilify, honesty and no nonsense. Few episodes when there is something meaningful to say rather than others’ as many as possible to be sure advertisers are happy. Also appreciated the format which doesn’t constantly...Read full review »

Mad Fientist is awesome. He interviews some of the best in personal finance. He is super chill and open minded. He is a little dry and can be monotone, but that’s just his style. Other podcasts are more eccentric than this one. Overall, it has great info and great guests featured.

What a great series of interviews by people who have “won the game”, including the interviewer himself. If you were to only just follow a fraction of the advice given here by these successful people, the majority of us should be able live better lives.
