“I initially heard Debbie on Radio4 this morning talking about the podcast, I’m not normally one for podcasts but discovered a podcast app built into my iPhone so thought I’d search for it....and I’m so glad I did.
For me, I found it very cathartic due to drawing certain parallels with the trauma I’ve experienced in my life & as such found certain parts of the story extremely emotional.
I think the politics of the day coupled with (I say this respectfully) Debbie’s naïveté played an integral part of Debbie’s traumatic & almost fatal journey.
I believe the universe, maybe for believers, they may say “god” works in mysterious ways & as such arranges people & places to create a different path for someone in order for them to have a positive outcome, in this case the person Debbie befriended, Natasha was the person or in Debbie’s words “guardian angel” that intertwined with Debbie’s life thus creating the ‘positive outcome’ we hear about today.
Perhaps the podcast may have further episodes when Debbie finally meets Natasha...pandemic travel restrictions permitting, it will happen, it’s just a question of when!
I don’t think I’m going to be the only one wondering how Debbie feels when finally physically confronted by her ‘Guardian Angel’ once again.
Credit to Debbie’s son and his team, for a very professional, beautiful & well produced story & podcast.
Give my regards to Debbie & tell her I wish her all the best for her meeting in the future with Natasha.”
