Monotonous after 10 episodes & awful sound quality/balance
The show started off delightful and witty with amazing singing and renditions of songs. But after awhile the voice acting and ESPECIALLY the storylines just became monotonous, repetitive, predictable, and dull. If you want to know the basic premise of every story it's essentially: person has dilemma-> makes bargain-> plot twist something happens and someone ends up dead Really such a let down and on top of that they spend no time post editing in order to at least normalize the sound quality so you don't have ear splitting audience laughter juxtaposing quiet cast talk. I get that it's recorded in front of a live audience but post production still exists. You can still equalize the sound so the voice acting is just as audible if not more audible than the audience. Also the voice acting isn't that great. It's so melodramatic that even the serious moments can't be taken seriously. The accents are totally off too. Novelty made the podcast good but mediocrity of voice acting, story content, and sound design killed it. The only thing it has going for it is the singing.Read full review »

Great podcast done by people with a huge amount of passion for the project. A great blend of genuine creepy atmospheres and talent create the perfect experience for recreating old time radio plays.

Great mix of dark fiction and humor. Stories can bit hit or miss, but that's the same with every story telling podcast. The cast is very tallented and the production values are spot on. I'd love to attend a live show someday.Read full review »
