Simply Amazing
As someone who lived in New Orleans during Katrina, I was hesitant to listen at first. “Outsiders” tend to get the story wrong. But wow...this podcast was absolutely stunning. Gripping in its honesty and compassion, I was shouting in agreement and crying in PTSD at times, sometimes simultaneously. The host and the production team did a wonderful job of capturing all angles with an honest look while also treating it with the respect and tenderness the subject matter and the interviewees deserved. Simply remarkable. I was disappointed at the end, only because I wanted more. Thank you for treating this subject with the reverence it deserves, and most importantly, for not forgetting about our beloved city.

I lived in New Orleans during this storm and was a counselor for a workforce of over 2,000 people. I heard more stories than I can count of people who were in Nola for the storm. This is the most realistic depiction I’ve heard yet. Amazingly well done.
