The only Swede who was to escape as a prisoner of war, there were some similarities between the escapes of Sam Derry and Lonnberg. However, despite being Swedish, he made for Switzerland rather than the Baltic Ports, and had a colourful post-war life too.For You The War Is Over is a podcast that looks at the real life stories of Prisoner-of-War escapes from the the Second World War.
