“I was looking for a podcast to listen along with while doing an MCU rewatch, but wasn’t having much luck. Most are either poor production, too “woke” about some topics (I’m pretty progressive but want to get away from that when I’m watching superhero movies,) or spend half the podcast reading listener reviews and comments, most of which don’t add anything to the show. Saw FFW recommended a few times on Reddit so I gave them a shot. Immediately loved it, Kyle’s excitement is contagious and Robbie’s insight is interesting and their chemistry is great. The episodes are tight, hitting the high points, discussing what works and what doesn’t, pointing out things I might've missed, highlighting how movies relate to others, but not wasting an hour recapping scene-by-scene a movie/episode I just watched. My only knock is that Robbie pronounces Jon Favreau’s name like Ben Stiller pronounces Brett Favre in There’s Something About Mary so I can only do 4 stars but will move that up if he acknowledges this lol. Seriously, I highly recommend this podcast.
