Watford failed to find the back of the net for the second game in a row, after their third fixture in six days ended in a limp defeat at home to Cardiff. Ismael’s men were unable to recover from a sluggish start, with a lack of cutting edge in the final third their undoing once more. After an away win at Blackburn, a horrendoous home loss to Bristol City, Watford stood firm against Stoke to get a 1-1 home draw.
