In 1968-69 Watford were crown champions of Division 3. This took them to the highest division they had ever played in - the then 'promiseland'.

Watford scored a rare SIX on the road and FOUR Vakoun Bayo goals made the LONG journey to Sheffield oh so worthwhile.
Jon, Mike, Colin, DCW and Olly took the train to Sheffield to witness the match. After two defeats on the road, and yes I know you have had nightmare about the first one, the Hornets where backs t home and got the win against the visiting Blackburn.

After a terrible away performance at Preston in the week, it felt - for 75 minutes at least - that Watford were going to finish with nothing. However, two goals from two substitutes saw the Hornets run out 2-1 winners for the second weekend in a row.

Watford swept aside Milton Keynes as the first home game of the 2024/25 season ended in a 5-0 romp for Tom Cleverley’s Hornets.
Tom Ince celebrated his new contract with a hat-trick, while captain for the night Mattie Pollock marked the occasion with a thumping header. There were also a number of eye-catching debuts with Rocco Vata and goal scoring Kwadwo Baah turning in exciting showings.
