“I'm a police officer and I spend A LOT of time driving around on patrol so it's great to have something fun and engaging to listen to. The Futility Closet podcast is one of my favorites. The hosts, Greg Ross and Sharon Ross, married couple, clearly put a lot of time and effort into researching interesting stories from history that you probably haven't heard before. Greg uses his research skills to find intriguing stories that cover everything from the seemingly common event of stealing the corpses of famous people to the harrowing adventures of a famous stagecoach driver during the Gold Rush who was found upon death to have been a woman (at least biologically). My favorite part of the podcast is the lateral thinking puzzles, where Greg and Sharon present various mysterious situations and have to figure out what's going on through yes or no questions.
