The Gangland Wire podcasts are different from most other true crime podcasts because you're hearing the stories from the mouths of the officers, agents or even criminals that took part in the action, not just people who read about it on Wikipedia or in a book. All the episodes are good, but the Martin J. McNally hijacking series were really great. My only constructive criticism is to scale back on the little music clips that seem to be randomly inserted during the podcasts. Can't figure out why they're inserted sometimes. Very interesting podcast. Just one complaint. Why do they play jazz background music during the wire tap recordings. You can barely hear what the mobsters are saying anyway without having to listen over music too. At least read a transcript of what was said after the wiretap plays. Each episode is timed for your average commute. Which is fine unless like me you download several episodes and can't stop listening! Really top storytelling the DB Cooper? is amazing all 7 episodes, and frankly the best I've ever listened to. Enjoy. XxRead full review »
