Season 3 is my first season of GC. I identify as a conservative Christian, so this podcast has been both mind blowing and heartbreaking. Parents of girls, this is a must listen! I admire the people who spoke out. So much change is needed, and hopefully this podcast is the catalyst.

Really an excellent, well researched and well done podcast about Liberty University and it’s corruption. Enjoyed it thoroughly.

Before stating a mild critique below, let this be said: this podcast is very well done and engagingly presented. I should also say that this review only pertains to season 3, about Falwell and Liberty, and that I haven’t listened to the others. While at times the reporting paints Christianity...Read full review »

A friend shared this podcast with me, and very thankful she did. My daughter considered LU and there is NO WAY my money will go in that direction. I want so badly to share this podcast with LU grads I know, but in this political climate, I am not sure they’d listen. The stories are well sourced...Read full review »

Wow - the corruption at Liberty University (and the evangelical movement more broadly) runs SO deep. Grateful to this podcast for telling the story.

I’m so glad I happened upon this podcast. I’ve enjoyed every season. Learning that it had a direct effect on further investigation and litigation into Liberty University is just the cherry on top. Great work!

This podcast is so well done. The coverage is thorough; the stories are often times shocking and infuriating but also enlightening and hopeful. I could binge this all day, every day.

Episode 3 Bonus Episode 2 : Shannon is so powerful. This whole season has been amazing. But right up to the end, this episode is amazing in it’s storytelling and the way it treats Shannon. I pray and wish nothing but the best for the Jane Does. Thank you for these stories!

Incredible reporting and production here. Season 3 might be the most riveting podcast I’ve ever heard. Many of these stores are disturbing – as they should be. But the real-world change this series seems to be manifesting is inspiring. Keep up the great work.

A lot to think about. I wish it weren’t so shocking, but this is the way the world turns. Maybe one important take away lesson is that none of us are immune. I'm not sure the motives of Falwell Jr, but La Pierre probably started out sincere, and the parents of the college scandel are just...Read full review »

The only podcast I can think of that has gotten better with every season! Other podcasters take notes (I am looking at you Wondery)…

While it’s important to tell this story, it would have been lovely to do so from a less narrow minded one sided perspective.

Absolutely fantastic podcast! Outstanding and impactful journalism. Season 3 about Liberty University was mind blowing

Riveting, top drawer investigative journalism. It’s what the mainstream media should be doing. If change doesn’t happen at Liberty, and people in high places don’t go to jail, after the network of pervasive corruption uncovered here, then there is no hope for this country. Excellent podcast in...Read full review »

Many thanks for producing this series. This needs to be told and people need to be aware. Healing and corrective action cannot take place if people are silent. It grieves me deeply to know about this but knowledge is power.

I am so glad this story was told and grateful for the positive things that are happening for the women that deserve to have been protected and cared for at this university.

Enjoyed thoroughly, learned so much about Liberty. Not just about the sex scandal but the whole shebang.

If you are into podcasts that dive straight into the heart of the issue, this is the podcast for you. It’s stellar journalism conducted by the narrator. The script itself can be a bit dry at times, but the stories they cover are wild and outrageous enough to keep you entertained (and learning!)...Read full review »

I want you to know that this podcast is amazing! The episode on Liberty University is one of the best moments in a podcast. Please listen to this well done podcast and get the truth. If they were on television, this would be the number one show.

I went from 2004-2007 and graduated. I’m very familiar with much of what was reported here. Falwell Sr had his faults no doubt, but Falwell Jr was just awful for the school. He made it embarrassing to have a degree from here and I would love to see all the Falwell just quietly go away from LU....Read full review »

I mean I knew the dude was a DB… but the Title 9 stuff, the sexual assault dismissal, the censorship, and on and on… horrifying and disgusting abuse of power. Thank you for shining light on this corrupt family and organization.

I’ve enjoyed all three seasons but towards the end of this one you began giving opinions rather than facts that that makes it less enjoyable.

Amazing investigative work and journalism. I am deeply disgusted and disturbed, but I am happy that the survivors had this platform to finally tell their stories.

Was good at first but now has just gotten into feeling kinda whiny and not as based on facts. I loved the first season and hated it by the third.

It’s nearly a lost art: tracking down a story that spans decades to identify the true victims and then launch actions for justice. You do it well! Thank you for exposing Liberty University and advocating for our young women!

Season 3 was just equal parts captivating and sad. Sad because of the stories of individuals who were hurt physically and emotionally. It really hit home and I hope the victims get justice and retribution for these monsters. Great job, really intense stuff that left me in suspense at the end.

This podcast made me reflect on my own experience with Vocational Christianity and what happens with lack of boundaries coupled with desired “fame” of some leaders. This forces me to examine the true Christ and all of his characteristics because, some people help me know - This ain’t it Sis!

Pretty interesting podcast. Impossible to enjoy because of the narrator who sounds like someone condescendingly explaining to a child that they’re dumb.
Bo Høyer Hansen via Apple Podcasts · Denmark · 09/07/21
Podcast started with detailed reporting and fact based conversations. Season 3 divulges in to political propaganda. Losing site of anything that can be portrayed as fact for the political push.

The depth of the corruption in each season is just astounding.

Enjoyed Season 1! Big fan of Andrew and his other podcast WRH, however, the overwhelming political bias in the seasons turned me off to the series. I started with season three so I’ll have to go back and see how it all began, but so far this is an incredibly detailed well investigated podcast! A slight hint of sarcasm and innuendo but just enough not to overwhelming.
Katmai1111 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/01/21
Seasons 1&2 are fine, but season 3 is real investigative journalism to the extent that Liberty had any real claim to be a university recognized beyond Lynchburg. It’s a wolf disguised in sheep’s clothing, with a flock that’s basically a cult. Don’t send your kids there. In addition to a rape...Read full review »

This started our great! Information was based in facts and research. Unfortunately about half way through this becomes propaganda and misinformation and all facts go out the window. The second half of this podcast (season 3 that is) is clearly based on political biases and not much else.

Season 3 of Gangster Capitalism starts with the “pool boy” incident everyone has heard of, and then peels back the layers of the onion to uncover all the ugliness that pervades the entire culture of Liberty University.
