Good in theory...
The premise of the podcast is a great one! As a nerd and scholar who loves a good deep dive, I was very happy to discover this podcast. Overall I would say it is good in theory, but sometimes lacking in execution. So far I’ve listened to the "House Targaryen" episode and the "Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles pilot" episode, both properties I know quite well and love much. For TSCC in particular, I am always craving more content. During that episode, I was often disappointed. It’s surprising that these two felt comfortable discussing it as though they were experts, when Jason admits he’s only watched the pilot once before. And then despite the fact that he has just watched it, he gets some of the details plain wrong. Also, the consistent mispronunciation of Lena Headey’s name chafed. These might seem nitpick-y or pedantic of me, but what happens when I go to listen and learn about properties and characters I’m not as familiar with, and come away with incorrect information? I suggest guest co-hosts in future - ones who are more well versed in the topics covered. Who have watched a series more than once, or who have more insight than what they read last night on the Wiki of Ice and Fire. In the plus column, it was a fun podcast, and the banter is entertaining. Not a bad way to spend an hour.Read full review »

I listened to the Geek History Lessons. I guess I didn't know that I didn't know anything about Robocob and Sherlock Holmes. I am now fully in the know, and obviously the coolest Geek in my block. Geek on!Read full review »
