Studio Ghibli certainly deserves a great deal of credit for moving the animation genre forward with unsurpassed quality and story-telling acumen. However to call it, "the world's greatest animation studio", is ridiculous, even in subjective terms, and I suspect this Michael person knows it and is only saying it to be provocative. I won't even say which studio is the greatest because it's so blindingly obvious as to be unnecessary. Other than that, a good podcast and worth a listen. SG is amazing except for the fact their films are not available digitally which is a great shame - it's the only thing I can fault them for.Read full review »

I’m really enjoying learning about the background of these films that I love. I especially found the extra trivia at the end of the credits great as I’ve just been given the poster from totoro as a gift and was wondering about the girl in it. Great pod cast. Hope you do all the movies.
