“This was generally really well told but I cannot get past the description of 11 year old and 13 year old female children as ‘women’ in E5. Once could be argued as a slip of the tongue but twice is pretty appalling and reflects the insidious sexualised reporting of crimes against female children, in particular. I’m sure you didn’t mean to cause offence but this needs to be called out in the same way we now call out misogynism and racism. Referring to CHILDREN as adults diminishes their child status and the crimes committed against them as the most heinous.”
