“LOVING this podcast. Though the EVPs really do creep me out. I'm from Hawaii, where people take their ghost stories VERY seriously. One story that I took (take??) to heart is of the menehunes, which are kind of like the leprechauns or fairies of Hawaii. According to the stories I heard as a kid, they were the ancient inhabitants of the islands which were pushed back into the forests when the Polynesians first came to Hawaii...but they never could really wipe them out. So they still patrol the forest, marching and beating their drums at night. And if they see you, you instantly DIE. I lived right by a rain forest growing up and I swear to God, once I heard their drums beating methodically at night. I had never heard that kind of noise at night in our quiet neighborhood. I kept my eyes squeezed shut...otherwise they would have definitely got me ;) Anyway thanks for the podcast, I'm loving every minute!”Read full review »
