“I love this podcast! Like the host, I love being carried away by a scary story, and her style of storytelling fits my tastes perfectly. It's really easy for supernatural stories to become too complicated: they often build up towards a grand climax or confrontation with larger power, but it almost always falls short when the "grand reveal" is reached. This podcast navigates the line between individual tale and larger plot perfectly. Each episode presents an amazing stand-alone story, while dropping subtle hints of a larger connection behind it all, without going overboard. Frankly, it's masterful. Plus, Liz's descriptions of her daily life around it all--people's outfits, life in Wellseley, her kids, and C--really hit home that all of this is happening in a relatively normal world, to a woman with her own life and issues beyond the paranormal. I definitely recommend it to anyone who likes a good scary story, but likes them to feel as plausible and concrete as any other genre.”Read full review »
