A RAW Podcast
I’ve listened to plenty of gaming podcasts but eventually I either get bored with the inevitable talk of WWE or praising EVERYTHING Marvel Studios produces, no matter how “meh” the movie may be. Or the podcast gets sponsored by LOOT CRATE, and you listen to ten minutes of a ad on a garbage box full of trinkets you’ll throw away and question why you spent the money on this dumb subscription. What I like about BTD is that the hosts clearly have good chemistry with one another. It’s not a competition to sound smarter than one or the other and they don’t make excuses for the gaming industry’s bad practices like I’ve seen other podcasts try to gloss over or pure outright ignore. The humor is great, I’ve laughed out loud many times to the comments Mr Feel makes, or when Dan inevitably yells about something. The podcast also doesn’t over stay it’s welcome, it’s a good 2-2 1/2 hours, I tend to get annoyed by podcasts that ramble on for hours on end. The E3 podcasts are long, but that’s okay considering how much of that is news discussion. These guys also have little to no connection to the industry which I consider a good thing. I prefer to hear from fair, level headed individuals thoughts or opinion on a game than listening to a “insider” of the industry who is afraid to score a major AAA game below a 8 or will ignore news so as to not upset their chances at getting future releases/exclusive coverage. These guys aren’t afraid to be critical of indie “darlings” or games that get “game of the year” for being a bad imitation of a movie. If you want to listen to a group of people that don't resemble the absolute worst aspects of ResetEra (a terrible forum) or Polygon, by all means give this podcast a shot. You might at times hear discussion of smaller scale games like indie Japanese games or JRPGs, but again, it’s nice to hear about different games that aren’t getting discussed on much bigger podcasts. Just be ready for minor talk of fast food such as Taco Bell or Burger King. LIVE MAS.Read full review »

I found out about this podcast during a really low point in my life last year and ended up finding that the only thing I looked forward to week after week was hearing the gigaboots crew cover gaming news with their unique banter and chemistry. I’m doing much better nowadays and currently use...Read full review »
