“The World Today Select was a great 15 minute daily 'digest', or probably more accurately, selection, of world news, But the new, 'improved', version - Global News - whilst still up to the BBC's usual excellent quality and highest standards - means a hefty 1 hour's listen, as it appears twice a day, each at 25 to 30 minutes each. I can't keep up with them both - too much to listen to on a commute! However this stuff is essential listening for people who think the world stops at the white cliffs of Dover. You get stuff here that just doesn't get reported elsewhere - and with a typical 'World Service' slant.”Read full review »
