Very unfair to divorced Catholics. Both I and my husband are Catholics ( clearly he no longer is). He had a seven year affair and left me and our children and divorced me when I forgave his infidelity and now you say I can’t have an annulment… insane. Hate to break it to you he isn’t coming...Read full review »

I’m a mom to several young children, and this is my favorite podcast to listen to. I love the range of topics from the lighthearted to the thought provoking. I always walk away having learnt something and with reflections to ponder. The Church loves its priests! Good work, brothers.

I love listening to y’all! Your episodes and lessons on the Christian life, good humor, and Dominican spirituality have helped me a lot this year as I prepare to join the Dominican Sisters of St. Cecilia in August, thanks be to God! Thank you for your witness and message. You are in my prayers....Read full review »

I enjoy all these podcasts, but I am especially grateful for the podcast on animal suffering. I suffer when I see animals in pain, although I do believe animals are food for us, also. I agree that it makes us more human when we act as true stewards and care for them, as long as we have Jesus as...Read full review »

A Blessed Lenten season to all worldwide. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Did y’all notice how the “splaining” in the title of this Podcast is highlighted? Reminded me immediately of that quote from “I Love Lucy.” You’ve God some “splaining to do Lucy.” 😂💜🙏🏻 #Joy Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to all, teehee, teehee, teehee....Read full review »

Love the combination of wit, humor, and solid theology (and discussion of toads). Would give 10 stars if possible.

I enjoy this podcast very much. It’s such a wonderful way for me to ground myself on those days when I’m struggling. To listen to others who share in my faith and accept it as the gift that it is, is important to me. Plus, I learn a lot about why we as Catholics do what we do. And, most...Read full review »

Thank you for this wonderful episode on Pope Benedict and for the recommendations on his writings! Blessings!

Apart from immediately pivoting to general questions from listeners not at all related to the subject of the episode itself, at no point did either take issue with the ambiguity of the document, particularly in the use of the term “couple”, not in any way address that a Catholic priest being seen...Read full review »

I have always loved learning about theology, morality etc but in college it was often too ivory-tower-superfluous-academia-esque. Then while turning to the internet, lots of more academic videos are more just “gotcha” and “get owned” debates. Godsplaining is neither of those things, which I...Read full review »

Love the podcast not just because of its vast range of topics related to faith life, but more the dynamic and playful friendship between the hosts. The dad jokes and random millennial references surely are a plus for me. I would love to hear a podcast specifically on sports and how it serves as...Read full review »

I want to give a heartfelt thank you for the work you guys do! So happy I and so many more get to benefit from the fruits of your contemplation. I had quite a bit of St Thomas in college but having this to add to figure out how to learn to live out what I’ve learned is such a blessing! Keep up...Read full review »

Godsplaining providers intelligent conversations, witty banter (without distracting from the substance of the topic), and plenty of food for thought. Every friar on this show invokes the spirit of St. Thomas Aquinas by drawing careful distinctions. I’d especially recommend it to Catholics seeking...Read full review »

This podcast is entertaining, enjoyable, and encouraging. It is my go-to podcast when I’m working on a big sculpture or project. These Dominicans and their guests are a wonderful example of the joy found in Christ-centered friendships, and “charity grows by being communicated”. Keep up the good...Read full review »

The Kazuo Ishiguro episode is thought provoking. The Well-Read Mom chose The Remains of the Day as one of their selections for Year of the Giver and I shared this episode with all of our local members. The godsplainers fleshed out the difference between what happens and then how we think about...Read full review »

Received a fundraising flyer in the mail so decided to check out what make Dominicans such a treasure. Listened to the first 8 mins of “Do Souls Have Genders” and couldn’t stand anymore. Foolish, silly and a waste of time. If this is the best I don’t need to hear anymore.

Some episodes are good, some develop the topic in a complex way, hard to follow and understand. Simplify, if your target are common people.

With so much division and negativity in our culture, it is especially refreshing to hear these good men giving laypeople advice about living a holy life and following Christ through his Church in a positive way that isn’t intimidating or harsh.
