Why does Simon Jack put his hand over his mouth while talking into the microphone all the time? Almost every single show there’s a sentence or two where Simon is obviously talking with his hand over his mouth and I have no idea why. Like at first I think, well, maybe he just yawned and his hand...Read full review »

This show is amazing and brings up challenges or opportunities faced by society, as well as the character and development of the billionaire being discussed, it’s a “life and times”, and discusses the zeitgeist of the time and place, and the story behind the names of these influential figures....Read full review »

This podcast is quite enjoyable and very informative. It’s entertaining and the rating at the end is a nice touch. However for some episodes they feel a bit more rushed than some of the others but it’s very good and nice.

I cannot get enough of this podcast. Both hosts are brilliant. You could make this into a tv show. I don’t know if you’re taking suggestions but I would love to see Jared Issacman going through your test.

It's an interesting idea for a podcast, but the subject research is surface level at best. These almost exclusively right-wing billionaires seem to get a free pass because the research and context of how they made their money is just not looked into very deeply. There's almost nothing on...Read full review »

***THIS SHOW HAS NO SPOILER ALERTS!!!**** I’m enjoying the show, aside from the big foul during the Murdoch episode in which you ruined a huge plot twist in the Succession Series.

I’m enjoying this podcast so much! The subject matter is fascinating! If you want to learn more about the very richest people on the planet and how they got there, this is the listen for you. The hosts are so professional and they never waste time with boring personal chitchat as so many podcasts...Read full review »

I just started listening to this a month ago and I love it. It’s so interesting and love the format of the two hosts talking back-and-forth to each other. Keep up the great work.

I really enjoy listening to this podcast - it takes listeners on a journey throughout the entire life of the billionaire, with especially good research about how each billionaire got started and their early enterprises. The presenters are interesting, erudite and often have a little anecdote...Read full review »

Very well researched would take you weeks of reading to not get close to the c50min summary and good lesson in economic history. Lighthearted but on strong technical foundations. Well done presenters, researchers.

I find these stories fascinating Love every single one of them. I do not always agree with your grade but I still like to hear your reasoning. I’ve been looking forward to this season which I am binging now as I was traveling and I couldn’t.

Simon Jack is very nuanced and great at hosting a show and even directing Zing’s trite comments to something more meaningful in interpreting Zing’s comments. Zing should not be on this show or any shows. Her lack of understanding of the world really comes through. Simon Jack is great, full of...Read full review »

The backstory part of each episode I enjoy and find interesting (despite the occasion instance of incorrect/poor research), the hosts do a good job keeping you engaged. Giving three stars as the scoring section of each episode I find annoying, bordering on unbearable… sure, have a (brief) debate...Read full review »

Hi, I’ve been listening to your fab podcast and would like to suggest you cover Steve Jobs. Obviously he also helped put all of the others in...Read full review »

They should rename this. It is far more about the back story of billionaires than whether they are good or bad. The Jim Ratcliffe episode is fawning and lacks a genuine attempt to critique. They barely mention his impact on the environment for example and when they do, they simply disregard it...Read full review »

Some casual inaccuracies. For example, the North was not the home of the Industrial Revolution, the West Midlands was. This was in the Jim Radcliffe episode when you were commenting on him going to Birmingham University, which is in the West Midlands.

Real interesting but as a general rule if the person is perceived as associated with political right then they judge them as bad and if associated with political left they are judged to be good. Confused with the excited pro billionaire tone littered throughout this podcast. Very very basic rating judging if the person is good or bad. For example with Rihanna. Ignoring all of Fentys human rights violations in their production line. Information readily available on the internet.
