“I'm a busy and ultimately lazy lady who rarely leaves reviews, even for the podcasts I love and want to do well (something to work on, I know), but given that not only will this boost up a show I'm so excited for, and have been since it was mysteriously announced and promoted, but I'm so glad to be able to help the poor folks in texas in some way by having kev and caroline match every review for $1 towards those affected by hurricane harvey.
but that aside, really, ever since I found the GG podcast (an accidentally apt term for a christian podcast) in 2014, I've often expressed to my fam and friends that I will never love two men the way I do guys gilmore. I've interacted with kevin and demi a little (even spoken to kevin on the phone!) and have promised they have a fan for life in me - and I mean it! I believe in kevin, his taste, his humour and his heart and want to hear his opinion always. I'm so glad to have an outlet for that again - and to get to know caroline, who I have followed on twitter since kev's suggestion to do so, better! she seems very wonderful!
also! I went to anglican and then catholic schools while not being religious at all, nor raised by religious parents (in the UK religious schools are often the best in the area, it's a whole thing) and so had this complete, very close-up outside-looking-in experience to the whole believing in jesus thing. but even more so, I'm latina (2nd generation brazilian specifically), and catholicism is absolutely baked into virtually every facet of that culture. I look forward to the conversation this show starts up and learning even more by this subject that somehow holds a nostalgic place in my heart.”Read full review »
