“This show is not “good”, it’s atrocious. And that’s largely the fault of producer-turned-host JD Bunkis. Maybe he was adequate at pressing buttons without a mic, but everything about the guy is a dial changer. The unearned arrogance, the garbage takes, the disrespect shown to guests who know far more than he does, the unfunny “banter”... it goes on and on.
The terribleness of “good show” has resulted in the worst ratings ever for The FAN590 in it’s 30 year history, and it’s not even close. The program director Dave Cadaeu keeps this on either because there is no other option (another damning indictment of his term that he has developed zero bench) or nepotism means Bunkis is untouchable in Rogers. Either way, it means Toronto has an awful sports radio show from 1-4.”
