“With Bob McCown leaving Prime Time, Ben and JD are the heirs apparent to fill that gap and carry the mantle of Toronto sports talk to the next generation.
The show is a perfect blend of the funny banter of Tim and Sid but with the professionalism and journalistic approach of PTS.
I appreciate that they do their homework and have the knowledge to cover the Leafs, Raptors and Jays in equal measure. (A bit more TFC wouldn't hurt but like the Argos I get they are a niche team.)
Through the regular season and playoffs I love listening to their next day broadcasts because they can analyze the games from the perspective of a fan but still not come off like unabashed homers. While they can carry strong opinions they back it up enough to never seem like the hot take artists.
They frequently have great guests from the obvious local old guard to respected up and coming bloggers and journalists.
