Preaching At Its Very Purist
I’ve listened to many preachers over the years, and hundreds and hundreds of sermons. I’ve thought about preaching a lot and have done quite a bit myself. Of everyone who's crossed my path in one way or another, the purist preacher is this man, John MacArthur. Nobody preaches Bible passages so faithfully. Nobody passes on, with such force and clarity, exactly what his Bible text is saying - without getting sidetracked talking about other things. He’s dedicated over 40 years to preaching the entire New Testament and some of the Old and is known for his in-depth, systematic approach to preaching. I enjoy listening to MacArthur's sermons because I see how well thought or things are. Sometimes he's a bit stiff and his Bible reading without much intonation, but that gets compensated with his deep study.Read full review »
