This used to be a great podcast. Not so much anymore.
I used to look forward to the next drop of Gravy Podcast. (Pun intended). Now every episode seems to be not about food per se but about the downtrodden and quite frankly I don’t care to listen to that. At least not every podcast. The last few months have been nothing I want to listen to. I came back because it started being about food again. Then we went to prisons and sexual harassment and tipping. This podcast is not worth the time I invest. I had considered donating but why would I when the product they put out continues to be not what they advertise. Southern Cooking. It has gotten worse since the new hosts (about two years now) took over. I wish I could give it a lower grade then one star. I listen to the old shows and pick through the morass that is the new ones.

You will get hooked on this podcast. The topics are fascinating and important, the storytelling touching and funny, the production professional and honest. If you’re interested in how food intersects with culture in sometimes surprising ways, this is a must-listen. Can’t wait for new episodes!
