Ep.29 University Sustainability with TU Dublin
Listen now
Description
TU Dublin are on a mission to be the greenest university there is. They are well on their way with several projects that are making the campus, staff and students more sustainable. With several locations and a large number of buildings and labs, there is lots of work to do! TU Dublin is using the UN Sustainable Development Goals as their north star for sustainability. They have a specific sustainability team and are embedding it within all the courses that are being taught. There are plenty of lessons here for green teams getting set up and working across multiple disciplines. The campus is looking at geothermal heating to help drive down their carbon emissions and doing more when it comes to energy, waste and water. They have several areas for biodiversity and are re-wilding parts of the campus.
