“TLDR: If you're new to Babylon 5, watch it alongside Grey 17 for the full, spoiler-free community experience! If you're a veteran, come for the spectacle of a big discussion, stay for the fun of torturing newbies. *****
Luckily, there are now many Babylon 5 podcasts, filling every content niche you could wish for: Nostalgic rewatches, cluelist first-timers, in-depth discussions... the list goes on. But no podcast out there embodies Babylon 5 more than Grey 17!
Much like the station, it is "a port of call. Home away from home for....". Hosted by a great big group of friends, Grey 17 offers spoiler-free and a spoilery segments of discussion. The feature all manner of opinions, interesting insights, funny quibs, observations, and theorizing.
To a veteran of the show, this podcast will make the next rewatch refreshing, with new takes and lively back and forth in every new discussion. But most importantly: I cannot recommend this podcast enough for newcomers!
Because the discussion group is so big, no one voice will color your perspective on the show. And on top of that, Grey 17 comes with its very own Facebook group for fan discussion and interaction. As a newbie, it can be hard to find spoiler-free online spaces to share your excitement and ideas. In Grey 17's group, you'll find one of the friendliest and best moderated communities out there, where hosts of the show and long-term fans of this and many other podcasts are happy to engage.
So, wether you're a newbie looking for a safe harbor near Epsilon 3, or a veteran looking to rekindle the glory of the Centauri Republic: Come to Grey 17!
Just take the lift in section twelve and count three mississipies between levels sixteen and seventeen-and-a-half. See you there!”Read full review »

“Well, much like the TV show, this podcast wasn’t great at the start. It was messy audio, lots of anger , and for god sakes the pseudo-spoilers that Scott would give. With that being said they all grew on me. I actually look forward to this podcast - but seriously wish they would maybe fact check...”Read full review »

“I've listened to almost every B5 podcast since The Audio Guide to Babylon 5 started in 2014 with Chip, Erika, and Shannon. Of all of them, I think I might like this one the best.
The idea is great: listen to people who've never seen the show before expound upon the episodes, the acting,...”Read full review »

“I cannot express how much I am enjoying this podcast. I find the preparation that Scott and all his friends put into it so amazing. I can't wait for each episode to hear the girls go off on the guys when they tangentally get into other Sci Fi references which Jesse and Nicole aren't...”Read full review »
