“I really like this podcast and I do like the way they talk about topics and have a lot of different points of view.
BUT I do take a big issue with the way the podcasts always end with Steve Alli giving his perspective. For one he is very funny and interesting so should be included throughout the podcast, putting him in at the end to only talk about his refugee experience is so limiting, I’m sure he has many more interesting perspectives to give other than this one part of his life. I also find the way they introduce him undermines all the topics presented in the podcast as if they are unimportant and trivial compared to Steve’s problems. The podcast should give a platform and equal importance to all facets of the human experience and not undermine people in the way this does.
I don’t see to who this part of the podcasts serves. It patronises the audience, and pigeon holes Steve. Please bring him onto the whole podcast, you shouldn’t use him at a token or anecdote, he’s a complex and interesting as the other presenters and should be treated as such.”
