Essential Listening for Developers and Technologists no matter their allegiances
Scott Hanselman is a shrewd guy. He knows a thing or two about the world of technology and software development. He comes from a hard-edged financial commercial background with an undisguised enthusiasm for computers and programming. He applies that experience and eagerness to great effect in his regular half hour podcasts where he talks to a wealth of acquaintances, friends, colleagues and contacts on a diverse range of technical subjects. His recent move into the belly of the beast – he is now a Microsoft employee – often influences the topics of his podcasts, but does not prevent him from addressing the world outside the Redmond campus nor of being critical of the product that comes from there. He has a great conversational manner and a refreshingly enquiring approach to subjects that he genuinely seems to be interested in and actually eager to gain practical knowledge of. The production quality is always first class thanks to the guys at Pwop Productions and the sponsorship is light and unobtrusive. All in all a great podcast – highly recommended.

He's interested in what I'm interested in but knows far more about it that I do. He's never haughty, always interesting, often funny and he has great guests. In some small way Scott makes my world a better place!Read full review »
