Gave this podcast a try as I’ve enjoyed other shows from Heritage Radio Network, and I’m very glad I did! Just went out to buy a pack of cider to listen to the final episode.

This podcast is very well researched and covers a variety of topics in the cider world, past & present, from science to history. The host does a great job with interviews and summaries. The editing and volume control is spot on too. If you’re a fan of Gastropoda, this is quite similar.

Thank you for putting out a podcast that opens up so many topics that I’m hungry for! (Puns aplenty!) This podcast provides lots of information and nuance that is hard to tease out in other podcasts that is valuable for makers, sellers and drinkers. Give it a listen and choose some quality cider...Read full review »

As a cider maker, it can get boring to talk about and listen to talk about cider. This podcast takes it to the next level. The first episode took me completely by surprise, initially thought it just going to be able cider but they delved into such great topics including reparations, history and land justice. 100% recommend it

Another great show from Heritage Radio Network! Even if you think you don’t like cider, there’s so much more here—also, try a basque cider fussy pants!

Hard Core is not only playful and entertaining, but is also gives listeners useful tools and language that come in handy when you’re picking your next drink at the bar or your next purchase at the wine shop. Really well done!

This podcast will teach you plenty about the American cider industry- but it also taps into relevant topics from land loss and reparations to slow food and local farming.

I didn’t really know anything about cider but was pleasantly surprised by how interesting and relevant this beverage is. Themes are related to history, business, and the local food movement! Will definitely keep up with this series.

Both incredibly interesting and educational, hard core has given me an introduction into the cider industry, it’s history, present state, and where it’s heading. Worth a listen for anyone interested in understanding the complexities of a once forgotten craft that is being revitalized across America.

I learned so much from the first couple episodes - as some one who loves cider but didnt know a lot about it, I found it interesting and informative but not just targeted at folks in the industry - its accessible and covers a lot of ground!
