So far these stories have been great fun. "The Kit Bag" is an absolute gem of story telling and atmosphere. I absolutely love how they enhanced the "School Story" episode. Great narration as well. Looking forward to this every week now.Read full review »

Reminiscent of the reader of the Harry Potter books which we love. Alistair is very talented and you can tell he enjoys story telling. This makes the stories even more enjoyable.

This podcast is amazing, to say the least!! The stories are wonderfully spooky. The hosts voice is perfection. I can’t get enough. I listen to the stories over and over again, it’s that great! I love this show. Well done!!

I cannot believe the gall you have in rewriting one of the genres best stories. A School Story is one of M R James best and it is chock full of chills and creeps. Please listen to Ghost Stories of an Antiquary read by Derek Jacobi for what is a proper telling. How dare you!

I listened to an episode and about 20-25 minutes through I realized how bored I’d been with the episode. Textbook British voice. Unimpressive in my personal opinion.

Great choice of stories— appropriate length and excellent style. I love that it’s mostly story and not a lot of unnecessary sound effects. Classic & not campy. Highly entertaining podcast!

Alastair, you have a great voice for Ghost Stories! Honestly I don’t know HOW I found you but I am sure glad that I did. I love all things SPOOKY so these are PERFECT! Can’t wait to hear more 👻

Love the concept but give us a new narrator, please. It’s like a ghost story read from the BBC. Sorry mate...

I love the story selections, and the narration is terrific. I only wish the music was not so melodramatic.

I know it's a little unfair to review it just off one episode, but when that one episode is truly well done it's hard to resist! I'm usually leery of podcasts in this vein because I enjoy more conversational ones and, well, sometimes these can be corny. Not at all the case here. The...Read full review »

I can be very particular about the way podcasts are presented, and this one was spot on for me. Especially when it comes to things like true crime and supernatural topics, I don’t need the extra opinions of others. I like the story, details and facts to be straight up explained and that is it....Read full review »
