Prepare for an epic battle, and not between Peter Pan and Captain Hook! Ariel loves this movie and holds it very dear, Melinda hates this movie and thinks it's an emotional betrayal of the Peter Pan story. But because we don't shy away from Important Issues, we bring the debate to you. What they can agree on: the costumes are great.

We kick off Season 2 with Ever After because this movie was massively formative for both of us. And I hope it has a special place in your heart too. If not, we invite you to check it out and embrace the magic. Don't we all want to live in a world where Leonardo da Vinci is our fairy godmother? Where the handsome prince is a bit of a himbo and you can help him discover the concept of Human Rights? The Brothers Grimm really screwed this story up in their book, fortunately Drew Barrymore is here...

Ariel and Melinda reflect on their miniature costume recreations from the show. Which they totally finished on time and they are not feverishly trying to complete (!) They each picked one costume from Rings of Power and recreated the design on a mini scale model form. There was so much embroidery, beading, and block printing, oh my! And it added an extra layer to their respect for professional artists who do this work all day everyday. Listen in to hear all about it

Do not, my friends, become too addicted to movies. It will take hold of you, and you will resent its absence.
Grab your guzzoline and fire up those engines, we are on a one-way road straight into the wasteland this week. We are talking all things gross and grimy in Fury Road and absolutely singing the praises of the costume and makeup teams on this movie. We couldn't think of a better way to finish 100 years of Sci Fi than this. We shall join you in the halls of Valhalla, witness...

We did it! A whole episode about Star Trek! We delve into JJ Abrams take on creating a new Star Trek timeline and how a 21st century eye influenced the costumes, and what stayed true to the original. Welcome to an unfiltered conversation (verging on rant) about people disregarding all the work that goes into the costumes in this show. Ariel and Melinda are sick of the opinions disguised as fact in conversations online. It's also unfiltered because we were contending with construction noise and cat activity. Consider yourself warned and consider the entire internet on notice.

The Matrix has you...and us. We're fangirling out on this episode, sorry not sorry. What can you expect from good honest millennial nerds? We tried to look at it with fresh eyes, don't know that we totally succeeded there. There are some moments of background noise, we asked for a clean program to run this recording but it doesn't always work out that way. Follow the white...

This episode is a pretzel of various lines of thinking all twisting around each other, aka fitting for a time travel movie. We love the future fashion predictions and seeing characters at different life and fashion stages. And justice for poor Jennifer, they did her so dirty in this movie. We discuss trivia from IMDB and again take it for gospel fact because we didn't look anywhere else. Jump in the car for this journey, but try not to get...

Pals, this is not Star Wars ok? It's totally unique and (for legal reasons) any similarities to other events in a galaxy far, far away are purely coincidental. Besides, this movie has enough going on that you won't be sad. We've got a lot of alien attire to cover from terrifying robot dogs, multi-faced singers, polyester medieval costumes, and of course a lot of sweaty faces because this is the 70's.

This is classic sci fi in so many ways. The flying saucer, the desert planet, the iconic robot (who's also a seamstress!) as well as skirts so short, you wouldn't believe it's the 1950's. Join us as we ask the age-old question- why are the men acting like that?

We move forward to sci fi from the 1930's with the little-remembered Just Imagine. Billed as the first sci fi musical. Is that true? We did not look it up to find out! We continue our examination of costumes based on only what we saw and very little outside research. And we saw a lot.

We kick of 100 years of sci fi by looking at the costumes in Metropolis. This un-researched and un-serious exploration of the costume design won't answer any of your burning questions, but hopefully will be a fun time.
