Really appreciate the work that goes into being able to sum up sometimes hundreds of years of history into bite size pieces that actually stick with me. I was worried at first that the recording quality wasn’t great but it got better fast.

I have been listening to podcasts any where from 1-3 hours a day 5 days a week. I recently saw a tik tok video of the history wizard I shared 2 years ago on my Facebook. I didn’t know he had a podcast and in a few nights I have listened to his entire catalogue! So intriguing, funny and...Read full review »

I’m leaving this after listening to the episode on the Peloponnesian War (which I learned more about here than in school or playing Assassins Creed Odyssey), but what makes me love this podcast is not just the Wizard’s fun personality but the way he makes it so easy to understand, including...Read full review »

This is sorely needed. I’m not an academic so I appreciate how this information is accessible. I’ve learned alot so far and the pod is a good length.

We live in times where the loudest (usually uninformed but often blatantly disinformative) voice is heard last. I am thrilled that Prof LeStrange has taken his ability to communicate without taking any bullshi* from fascists from short form social media (check him out on TikTok and Instagram…) to...Read full review »

While some might see the lack of Johns laconic ‘I know more than you’ style as a disadvantage, others will appreciate the increased scope of the podcast medium which allows him to actually tell the audience something that they might want to know about.

I like how your H beginning reminds me of V’s speech from V for vendetta, as well as this person is incredible educated!

Listen, I didn’t like history in high school. But it was taught by exclusively coaches who only knew what they did because of the assigned textbook. I had to take it twice in college because I put it in my first semester and was not prepared so my fault. Second round got me an A. That’s all...Read full review »

Politics. History. How and why it matters. A cadence and delivery I really enjoy to tell me about both, and from someone who will not take a troll lying down. Episode 1 is setting the stage for some thoughtful content and I’m looking forward to it
