The Hawaii News Now First Alert Weather team has declared that Thursday and Friday will be First Alert Weather Days. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for the leeward areas of all islands Friday as the combination of dry fuels, low relative humidity, and strong trade winds could lead to critical fire weather conditions during the day. This warning will be in effect from 10 AM to 6 PM.

A 14-year-old boy riding an electric motorcycle remains hospitalized after rear-ending a vehicle in Kapolei Tuesday evening, Honolulu police said. The incident happened just before 6 p.m. near Kapolei Parkway and Kamaaha Avenue.
