Great podcast for those looking for something a little deeper
There are many podcasts that cover and review boardgames, but Heavy Cardboard fills a much-needed niche alongside the Dice Towers and Secret Cabals. Too few podcasts review or even mention the heavier, hours-long games, yet these games are still being produced and many gamers love to delve into deeper games. Heavy Cardboard not only reviews and discuses longer, deeper games, they do so with a focus and attention to detail that many other podcasts lack. Both Edward and Tony are very knowledgeable and discuss heavy games with considerable insight, yet the podcast is presented in a manner that any casual gamer can grasp and understand easily. In short, fans of deeper games should absolutely consider listening to Heavy Cardboard. Not only does it address an all-too-overlooked subject, but it's a well-produced, insightful, and informative show in its own right.Read full review »
