Let Steve Walk His Own Path
The production of this story was fantastic! After hearing all of the episodes it’s Mary’s telling of Steve’s origin story & her belief of the person she THINKS Sandy was & is; that has colored Steve’s perception of his biological mother & his origin story. I don’t believe that his diaper was full of maggots the day she received him, nor that his biological mother was the terrible person that Mary has told Steve that she was his entire life. Mary & Jeanette need to allow Steve to be a 50 year old man, he’s not a 5 year old child. Mary needs to stop saying all of the terrible things she says about a woman she hardly knew 50 years ago. I feel like Mary is the person holding Steve back from finding his truths, because his truths contradict what she’s told his for 50 years of his life. It’s well documented the terrible person that Franklin Floyd was, Steve could easily research this on his own to understand the experience that Sandy had as a young, single mother of 4 small children. It’s a miracle that Floyd didn’t murder Sandy & all of her kids.

The only thing she gave him was life and that he can be grateful. She could have easily aborted...Read full review »
