“The first full episode with Seth Myers came very short of what I was expecting from LinkedIn about career and vocation. I was expecting learning, tips, and general wisdom from experts for career and vocation. What we got was a fan-girl interview of someone famous. The occasional management and leadership morsels where not expanded on and quickly lost. Obviously highly scripted and was left wondering if anything was asked that was not on a notecard... because “don’t you see these notecards!”
Towards the end they thought about synthesizing some information into something useful, but then rolled some random clip from left field and then proceeded to talk about what they were going to do in the podcast some day. I guess if you get Seth Myers for episode one take advantage of the opportunity for audience, but I hope in the future they actually deliver on what the podcasts is advertised for. I also thought that it was quite annoying to bombard us with a heavy advertising load for a podcast on episode one... Microsoft has the resources to throw out some unsupported episodes to establish value for the listener before dropping advertisers on us.”
