When God had a message for the people, He spoke to them through prophets: men moved by the Holy Spirit to speak on God’s behalf Isaiah is the first of the Major Prophets. No other prophet is referenced in the New Testament as much as Isaiah who preaches of the coming King who will rule Israel and the nations in justice and peace. God’s judgment is coming, but so is a special Servant of God: one who will fulfil all Israel’s duties and bear their sins.
