Somewhat meandering
One of the reasons I prefer podcast over some other media formats is that a good podcast presents the facts and information about the topic succinctly and avoids editorializing of the topic. John, you are obviously well trained and knowledgeable in your field, as are you Lauren. I am struggling to sort out what type of format your podcast is supposed to be presented as. Is it a true crime podcast or a editorial podcast. Jhon tends to get bogged down in his own "touchy freely" thoughts on things such as the story of he and his son watching the sunset and enjoying the beauty etc, it in some sense detracts from the actual point of the podcast. He tends to share a lot of personal stories about himself. Lauren does a great job of trying to get back to the story. Perhaps I am not understanding the point of this podcast. Is it to present the case and facts behind the case or is it an analytical mindfulness sort of podcast about those involved in the cases. Just a bit confused about the format. There used to be a judge on one of the court tv shows that used to tell litigants to "pick a lane". I guess I am just trying to figure out the lane that this podcast is in.Read full review »

Buckle up because you won’t want to stop after episode 1. I “google” as I listen because I want to deep dive after listening.

I heard about this podcast from the fine ladies of the Fruitloops podcast. This husband and wife team take such a deep dive into the Vallow-Daybell case and explores so many facets of the people involved. Excellent!

I look forward to this podcast everytime a new episode comes out. I actually am learning the psychiatry behind the crimes and it is fascinating and helps me understand human nature better. It is also fun and entertaining to listen to. Cannot praise it enough!
